To attend the Donut Derelicts pre-dawn cruise in Southern California is to get your day started right. Lots of bleary eyed hot rodder show up to slug back some coffee, munch a donut or two and meet all of the other craziest that decided to drag themselves out of bed before the roosters were telling them to in order to see cool cars flow in from all over the local area.
As many times as we have run photo coverage from the Donut Derelicts, we always see new and interesting stuff. The Vega you see above really spun our crank pretty hard and that is saying something! The one thing we like to think about in regards to this gathering is the collective number of angry neighbors that listened to all these mean hot rods rumble down the street before the sun was up!

I lived in LA 12 years before I finally made it to Donut Derelicts. I am so not a morning person. Not at all. But, I was so glad I went. Cool cars and cool people.
And it looks like you guys got there kind of late….
