This Mildly Hot Rodded 1934 Ford Truck Is As Class Act That We’d Love To Cruise

This Mildly Hot Rodded 1934 Ford Truck Is As Class Act That We’d Love To Cruise

Is there anything neater than when someone takes a classic and iconic shape, tweaks stuff just a little and  then “lets it breathe” like the builder of the 1934 Ford pickup did here? We are not sure that there is and this truck with its stock body lines, black wire wheels, and slightly warmed up flathead V8 is so neat that we wanted to show it off here. For sale on eBay the person who has listed it wants just under $30,000 an while we don’t watch the markets on iron like this, the thing sounds like a smoking deal, right? All steel ’34 Ford truck in this shape?

Some of you out there undoubtedly want to have a few inches lopped off the top and maybe a suspension upgrade, more power from the flathead or even an LS engine in its place under the hood. While there is nothing wrong with any of those ideas we don’t think that we’d tweak one iota of this truck. The driving experience would be the same as a kid would have had in the early 1950s if he bought this old truck for a song, took the engine to a machine shop for a rebuilt and a little hot rodding. There’s nothing cooler than that in our eyes. Providing yourself with an authentic hot rodding experience as driving this truck would be.

We talk a lot about “a little going a long way” when it comes to car and truck building and we think the little that was done here in the terms of the paint color, the dual exhaust, the Edmunds dual carb intake, and the overall quality of the build is what has us drooling so hard over this one. What do you think? Leave it as is or do you get after it with modifications to make an already good thing “better”?

That truck is too clean, I’d have to agree with Brian, I’d leave it as is and enjoy driving it.

The only thing I hate about this truck is I can’t fit in it! I sat in one of these and had no leg room!
