(Photos by Charles Wickam) – Charles Wickam might have gotten a little more than he bargained for when he arrived a the 2016 Independents Run show at Hooks Airport in Spring, Texas. Show organizers tapped him to select a BangShift Pick from the show entrants. Charles stewed on it pretty hard and he selected the 1970 Pontiac GTO drag car of Jim Swekne to take the honors. We think the pick is awesome and you will too when you see the car in the photo collection below. It really is something that sums up the things that we love around here and we’re glad that Charles did us proud!
A wide open event that featured everything from pro touring style muscle cars to guitars and motorcycles, there was some serious mechanical eye candy and Charles did his normal great job capturing it. Rather than ramble on about this event, we’re going to tell you to experience it though the photos below. You should plan on attending this one next year!
