There are a ton of different cars, trucks, lakesters, streamliners and roadsters at Bonneville for Speed Week each year. We’re talking about variety like you have never seen. But two and three wheeled motorcycles are some of the most unique and fun machines that you’ll see on the Bonneville Salt Flats, and so we thought we’d share a sampling of them in this gallery. Some are complete race machines with little or no concern for looks and such, while others look like show vehicles that are being raced, and we love them all. One of our favorites, a twin engine beast, looks like something you’d see going for America’s Most Beautiful Motorcycle, not a record on the salt.
Elsewhere today you’ll find video of a 50 cc record breaker being built for the salt. Yep, you read that right, 50 cc. There are so many classes and records available in the motorcycle classes, from 50 cc machines going tens of miles per hour, to motorcycle streamliners going over 300. It’s impressive as hell and cool to see, that’s for sure. So check out the photos we’ve got below. And don’t forget that we also have tons more photo galleries that have already been posted and plenty others to come. Bonneville Speed Week 2019 may have been shortened due to rain, but that didn’t mean there weren’t plenty of cool machines on the salt and running for the records.
