Quick Gallery: Fairlawn Plaza Car Show In Topeka, Kansas – A Random Car Show In Anywhere, USA

I’m currently out roaming the United States with Haley, my wife, and while you’ll get to see plenty of photos from the trip later on, I couldn’t resist posting up a car show I got to check out in Topeka, Kansas. Long-time readers of BangShift’s forums know that anytime I pass through Topeka I have to look up BangShifters Don and Ron. Normally, that means a quick bite at the local Hooters as we enjoy conversing with our short-shorts-wearing Mensa member, but this time was different. Ron was AWOL, but Don was heading out to a car show at the Fairlawn Plaza and offered to meet us there. How could we say no? It’s a small local cruise-in, but it has plenty of variety, from late-models to early hot rods. Among the standouts was, quite literally, a huge surprise: a mid-1970s Chrysler New Yorker six-door limousine packing a TNT 440 mill. I know my oddball Chryslers and I didn’t know that car existed! Another thing I wasn’t expecting: to get a Wet Willy from a pet capuchin monkey, much to the amusement of my wife and Don.

really?
