The Precious Metals Display At The Petersen Automotive Museum Is Pure Sexy In Silver

The Precious Metals Display At The Petersen Automotive Museum Is Pure Sexy In Silver

There are a lot of incredibly sexy cars at the Petersen Automotive Museum, but the Precious Metals Gallery just might be the sexiest group of cars there. We may be prejudiced, because we think the 1959 Corvette XP-87 Stingray Racer is one of the sleekest and sexiest racecars in history, and it’s part of the collection. This car was built and raced in 1959 and is clearly the car that inspired the 1963-1967 Corvettes. In silver this car’s lines are amazing as are the others in this particular room at the Petersen.

Mercedes, Fiat, Ferrari, Audi, and McLaren are just some of the other cars on display, and each allows you to walk completely around them and get up close and personal with the features and design elements that make each one unique. Having all of them in the same color, allows you to enjoy each one for their unique design, style, and personality, without color playing a role in just how great they look. We loved this area of the museum and spent a lot of time really examining each one. Whether you are a sports car guy or not, which I’m not, you will enjoy looking at each and every one of these cars.

There are multiple photos of each car in the collection. Enjoy them all in large size by clicking on any image from the galleries and then clicking the arrow to the right to scroll through them all.

You’re right Chad, Those cars, all the same color are breath-takingly beautiful. I copied each and every one of those to my pictures folder. Thanks man!

Could the “Silver Room” be named for all the silver DRIP PANS under most of the cars?
