Truck Show Photos: Texas Heatwave Show Photos Continue. Lifted, Lowered, Full Size, And Mini Trucks In The Lonestar State

We shared our first gallery of photos from Texas Heat Wave yesterday and we’ve still got a couple more for you to check out this week. I love the fact that custom truck shows allow you to see such variety. Lifted, lowered, minis, full sized, classics, and all are usually at a show like Heat Wave and within each of those are trucks from all eras. It’s one of my favorite things about going to car shows and truck shows actually, because there is something really cool about seeing a mini truck that looks like it was picked straight out of 1990, sitting next to the most modern build also. Or seeing a Pro Street Camaro that looks like it go plucked from 1992, sitting next to a big tire 2019 Camaro. The variety is what makes shows cool and makes your head start working when thinking about your own projects.

And that’s exactly what happens to me when I go to shows. Not only do I spend time appreciating other’s creations, but I also am incredibly inspired by other folks work. And I’m not just talking about custom shops who do really clean and show quality modifications, but also the home builder who has some unique or creative idea that they pull off at whatever level.

I’ve been inspired by mini trucks again lately and each show I go to has some old school and new school builds that make me want another early Mitsubishi or Dodge D50 to build like the 1985 Mitsubishi I had in High School and College. I loved that truck, built it with zero experience, and loved it for all the good and the bad. That’s what it is all about.
