We already told you just how much this event kicks ass, since it allows you to not only show off your ride but also cruise it through a pretty cool fairgrounds. And, you get to do all of this while enjoying great sunny SoCal weather just a short drive from the beach in Orange County. The Great Labor Day Cruise has been going on for decades and has a unique flavor all it’s own. I’ve been to shows and races across the country, and the first time I ever attended this show I was blown away.
One of my favorite aspects of this show is the RV parking area. I know that sounds weird, but the way it is laid out allows folks to enjoy the area in several ways. You can park your hot rod next to your rv, you can park yourself and all your friends next to your rv, and you can get right up close to watch all the hot rods on the cruise route as it goes right through the RV campground area. People decorate their RV spots for full comfort, bring big furniture, and plunk themselves down in a spot and enjoy the long weekend without having to run around town or go back and forth to a hotel or home. But if you do have to drive there are tons of restaurants, hotels, etc within minutes. It really is a unique environment.
