This is one of the neatest NHRA drag racing videos we have ever seen. Kyle and the 1320Video crew shot loads of stuff at Pomona and the first release was an overview of the event with some neat features. This right here is the most in-depth tour and look of a top fuel team’s weekend as you will ever see or ever have seen. The guys got themselves hooked up with Clay Millican and the Stringer Motorsports Team, were given full access, and took full advantage.
This is not just a walk around the pit area. You are going to see team meetings, learn the jobs of all the mechanics and crew men/women, see how the timing works of their operation, learn the constraints of a smaller budget team, and honestly see a side and depth of drag racing few people have any idea of.
This is how to run a top fuel car on a budget of $100,000 a weekend and that’s on the low side of the premier level of the sport. Sounds completely bonkers and it is. If you are wondering where all the money goes, this video gives you pricing for every piece and part on the car, along with all the various service and maintenance work to keep them all happy.
Watch and enjoy. What a great job these guys did!
This is a very good video. I have always been a big drag race fan. However, this shows stuff that normal fans will never see. Very good video 1320. Now go do one with Force. See what the huge money teams do. And Who doesn’t like Clay? thanks .
This is the most informative and intelligent video I have ever seen on this subject – I’m 76 years old and have followed this sport for decades. Interviews of all the individual crew members were great and showed their knowledge and professionalism. Thank you 1320Video,very impressive. And who knew that these cars will deliberately steer and change lanes down the strip to drive around bumps, etc. I am now a Clay Millican fan!
Kyle, why did you edit out the prayer?
fun too see the other side$$$$$$ cost of spare parts alone would hurt me
