Pro Street Perfection: This 1969 Camaro Has A Blown 632ci Big Block, A Jeffco, and The Fit and Finish Of A Show Car

Sweet sassy molassy. That’s the non-profane version of what I said when I laid eyes on this 1969 Camaro that is currently for sale for just under $70,000. Yeah, we know. It is another pro street 1969 Camaro but would you just look at this thing for a minute? It has a supercharged 632ci big block, it has a Jeffco planetary transmission, and it has the detail oriented finish of a damned Autorama Great 8 car. This is not only a beastly powerful pro street car with a killer transmission, it is built to the flipping nines and if you cannot appreciate those facts, you’re in the wrong place.

The guy who built this thing or had this thing built is not a professional seller but he is clearly a professional collector with good taste. The engine has a 10-71 blower on it and while he readily admits the thing is only making 4psi of boost to keep the thing happy on pump gas, the mill still has to be rowdy. We’d be shocked if the thing was under 8-900hp with this displacement and even the gentle breeze of 4psi heading into the intake manifold. The Jeffco transmission is neat and it is a planetary style like a Lenco but it is more street friendly. A McLeod bell housing and clutch transfer the power. The rear end is a GM 12-bolt that has been braced and there’s a whole four link setup built off of it. Viking shocks are there to hold the car up and control the rear end.

The front end has a stock stub with tubular control arms and a whole bunch of awesome happening underneath. We’re in love with the black wheels, especially the little steelies up front. If this thing had gaudy billet wheels on it we’d not love it nearly as much. This car looks like it means business and the body certainly did when preparing the panels. They are all gorgeous. The paint work looks flawless, the panel fit is perfect, and the interior is as straight ahead as it is brutal.

Is there $70,000 in this car? Oh hell yes plus some. Is this car worth $70,000? We actually think that it is. The look is timeless and it has to be fun as hell to drive.
