(Photos by Johnny Gaudette) – It was a heck of a weekend at Sterling Airport during the 2015 Orange Drag Strip Reunion. Steve Magnante was announcing the action, hundreds of the coolest vehicles in New England showed up to look good in the sun, and a ton of neat machines were hammering down the 330′ length strip for laughs. That is the best thing about these low-key reunion style events. No one is showing up trying to beat the stuffing out of the competition, no one is showing up because they feel entitled to a trophy, people are there because they know it is going to be a fun event with great people who all want to enjoy the location and the day. Intrepid BangShift shooter Johnny Gaudette was there blasting photos and he even cruised his trusty more door Plymouth into the event as well.

There’s not much more to say other than to tell you to check out all the photos below and enjoy this look at one of the neatest old school hot rod events that the New England region has to offer. Gimme a big grass field, gimme a landing strip, and gimme the smells of burning rubber and gasoline and I’ll be a happy man forever!
