2017 NHRA Spring Nationals Through The Lens Of Charles Wickam – (Part 1)

2017 NHRA Spring Nationals Through The Lens Of Charles Wickam – (Part 1)

(Photos by Charles Wickam) – It was one heck of a weekend in Houston just a few days ago and thankfully our man Charles Wickam was on the scene to capture the images we know you wanted to see from the 2017 NHRA Spring Nationals. This race was really interesting because of the Redemption series cars that we showed you yesterday, alcohol categories, Pro Mod insanity, and the top fuel Harleys were also on the property. Those classes along with the traditional NHRA classes that you expect made this one a truly memorable affair. The extreme side of the sport and the highest levels of competition in sportsman and pro action meant that there was high drama on and off the track.

Rather than just fire hose us with a million and one photos, Charles went through his stuff and picked the 100 best images from the weekend. We’re presenting them in two parts. This is the first of those parts and you will see everything from wheel standing super stockers to pro mods and all the stuff in between.

No weak sisters in this group, Charles chopped it down and gave us the cream of his respective crop!

I thought the same thing. I know it’s areo, but really…. It looks like a squashed wedge.
