2018 Amalie Oil NHRA Gatornationals Photo Coverage: Sunday Sportsman and Pre-Race Fun

2018 Amalie Oil NHRA Gatornationals Photo Coverage: Sunday Sportsman and Pre-Race Fun

(Photos by James Champion) – We have LOADS of awesome photos from the 2018 Amalie Oil NHRA Gatornationals to show you and we’re starting with an interesting batch. James Champion was there shooting for BangShift for the first time and he did an awesome job and actually approached the assignment with a different eye than many of our other contributors. How so? This gallery is proof and you’ll understand when you see the photos.

This collection of photos was taken on Sunday morning at the very, very busy Gators. Unlike most races, we had to run cars before our traditional pre-race ceremonies on this day so the gallery starts with cars on the track and then transitions into the Track Walk For Those Who Can’t, which is a charity event that raises money for the Darryl Gwynn Foundation which helps disabled people get the assistance they need and the mobility they need to live full lives.

Following that you’ll see driver introductions and candid shots of the racers who were competing in Sunday’s event. This is a cool way to kick off the Gators photo galleries and we promise that we have LOADS of car photos coming as well. We’ll be back tomorrow with more fun and more images from James Champion’s lens!

What the hell kind of coverage is this ? Champion forget he was there to take photo’s of cars not people ? Maybe he should be asking HIMSELF why he didn’t do better in school and get a real job .
