(Photos by Wes Allison) – Well we have finally reached the bottom of the well when it comes to photos from the 2018 NHRA Auto Club Finals. This was a great race and a historic one as all four of the national champions in their respective categories won the pro categories. It has never happened like that before and it was neat to see those teams rise to the occasion not only over the course of a season but also over the course of the race.
Championships in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing series were locked down as well with Super Comp being the last to get handled. California’s Steve Williams got the job done, taking home his first national championship.
Being the end of these photos, it’s now time to face the stark realization that winter is here and the NHRA Winternationals are about 80 days away, giving us another excuse to do some California dreaming as the grey skies and low temperatures of a New England polar season descend upon us.
