(Photos by Mike and Jeff Burghardt) – Hardcore sportsman drag racing fans that did not come to the show to see the thundering nitro cars run four wide had to have been happy that their beloved cars were competing in a traditional two by two format. Basically the entire sportsman slate of NHRA action was on hand from the alcohol classes right on through competition eliminator, super stock, stock, super gas, super comp, and even grudge cars!

Mike and Jeff Burgardt blasted a ton of great sportsman racing photos and here’s one installment of them to check out. Blown altereds, door slammers, dragsters, you name it we have it. There were hundreds and hundreds of cars on the grounds this weekend and it was amazing to us just how great the competition was. The track was so new we were wondering how the traction would be and as it turns out, any concerns anyone had were quickly washed away in a sea of wheelies and bad ass runs.
