2018 PDRA Drag Wars Coverage: GALOT Motorsports Park Was Packed With The Fastest Doorslammers On Earth

(Photos by David Whealon) – The 2018 PDRA Drag Wars event is in the books and we have some fantastic photo coverage from the race to dazzle you with today. David Whealon was at GALOT Motorsports Park when the fastest door slammers in the world came into town to deliver their unique brand of eighth mile excitement to the fans in attendance and watching on the live streaming video coverage. GALOT has an amazing surface and the weather cooperated well with the racers to allow for some really great runs over the course of the event.

This late season PDRA event had big implications in the points standings for the series. Tommy D’Aprile won in Pro Boost, Tommy Franklin took home the honors in Pro Nitrous, longtime mountain motor pro stock racer Jeff Dobbins turned the truck in the Extreme Pro Stock class, Ronnie Smith won pro extreme motorcycle, and it was Johnny Pluchino over Dillon Voss in Pro Outlaw 632. Top Sportsman was won by Aaron Glaser and Top Dragster accolades were collected by Ohio’s Tom Martino.

The PDRA season continues in a couple of weeks with the Fall Nationals which are being held at The Legendary Darlington Dragway in Darlington, South Carolina. Check out these photos of a variety of cool stuff that competed at the race. We’ll be back tomorrow with more!

So the Australian guys that are as fast as anything there is in America were there? Zappia, Moits etc. Didn\’t think so. You guys need to have a reality check about these claims of the \”fastest anything\” on the planet that you come out with. You have fast cars but the rest of the world has fast cars so knock off the \”fastest\” claims all the time..
