We’re back, as we will be all week and beyond with photos from the 2019 Grand National Roadster Show. In many ways, this event marks the start of the hot rodding year for people not just in California, but the world over. Between the people who travel to the show to hang out and see the sights, to the people who ship cars in for judging and award consideration, this thing is an international affair. It is pretty incredible considering the humble roots of the event.

Of course the major draw is the awarding of the AMBR award and this year that went to George Poteet’s Pinkee’s rod-shop built 3-Penny 1936 Ford. It, along with the Ridler award at the Detroit Autorama stand on their own level in terms of prestige and awards in hot rodding. We think it is awesome to see guys like Poteet and others investing in the skills and brilliance of the hot rod builders they team up with. Allowing craftsmen to shine and produce amazing work is what it is all about!
