(Photos by Wes Allison)- Now THIS we can get into! Here’s our second load of photos from the 2020 Grand National Roadster Show in Southern California and boy is it full of cool stuff. This time we concentrate on the drag racing exhibition and give you an awesome look at the customs and low riders as well. The drag racing building at this year’s event had some of the most iconic cars from California and beyond inside of it. Hell, when we can show you the Rat Trap sitting next to Pure Hell you know it was a good time, right? Beyond that there are dozens of pro mods, dragsters, funny cars, and altered to check out as well.
As the photos more outside you’ll see a large collection of low riding, customized cars and trucks from the 1940s and 1950s. This stuff is so steeped in Southern California tradition that we can hardly stand it. What’s interesting to us is that there have been so many trends born out of that little area of the country that spread in all directions and to hot rodders cross the nation. Some of them regrettable but most of them timeless. All the stuff you see in that area falls under the timeless category.

Wes’ photography is most excellent. Pic 117 really makes me wish I was there… the colors just “pop”…
