eBay Find: This Complete 340 6-Pack Intake and Carbs Would Look Radical On Your Chrysler Small Block

eBay Find: This Complete 340 6-Pack Intake and Carbs Would Look Radical On Your Chrysler Small Block

The rev-happy Chrysler small block was one of the most underrated little engines of the muscle car era. With hilariously low horsepower listings of 275 in 4bbl form and 290 in 6bbl form, the small engine would make stock A-bodies run 14s or better with slicks and headers. If you have one of these engines you know that the factory high performance stuff can be hard to find on occasion and you also know that it is not cheap so that is why when we saw this complete 340 6-Pack intake and carbs we needed to share it. Right now it is the only one on eBay that is complete and while it may need work, it’s all there.

This setup came off of of a car with a 727 Automatic transmission so it’s setup for that but if you have a four speed car we’re sure you can find linkage and whatever other doo-dads you need to complete the factory look and operation that you’ll need.

HOT ROD has done stories on these engines over the years and a rip roaring little 340 with factory heads and this intake manifold with properly tuned carbs and the right timing curve can make like 350hp + with the only real “bolt-on” being headers. That is pretty wild and drastically hotter. Restoration parts are not cheap and they are not easy to find.

Want it? Grit your teeth and spend the money!

eBay: This stock AAR or T/A 340 6-pack intake and carbs is original and awesome

I hate toads like this, but it is what it is. If you NEED it, put it down and shut up. Just rest easy tonight knowing that REAL car guys can’t get it done because of people like you! I’d love to own a car frome back in my youth (in this case, a ’70 Dart Swinger with a 318 that somehow ended up with, I was told, a 340 intaklde and a four barrel. Is that even possible? I was a kid, and I know it WAS a four barrel, but didn’t know anything else other than the fact that it was the fastest car I ever owned!), but, because of shit like this, I never will. I ain’t hatein’, there’s too much of that crap goin’ on in the everyday world, but… Shoulda’ listened to my mom and gone ta college. “You could be President some day!” Shit! Maybe I’m OK with the way I am…

It’s all about supply and demand, simple economics. I’m sure there is an AAR Cuda or T/A Challenger in need of one.

I am a true Mopar fan .And stuff like this is why I own Rambler cars [now part of the Mopar family,in car shows] and Dodge trucks. I wish him luck on the sale. I think the reason all the old Mopar stuff is so costly is. Mopar put a year number on EVERYTHING. Pulleys ,brackets distributors ect. So if you have a” numbers matching complete Mopar” you either spent a lot of money ,or you got it that way. I’ll spend that much on the complete drivetrain .can’t see it on just the induction system . I have one of those breathers ,original.Better not tell the little misses. She’d sell so we could go on a vaca. I’d rather set at home at look at the big oval breather ,don’t like Florida
