(Photos by Wes Allison) – This weekend the NHRA returns to traditional two-wide drag racing at Atlanta Dragway for the last running of the NHRA Southern Nationals at that vaunted facility. Before we totally turn the page onto the new event, we’d like to take one more look back at the fun we had covering the NHRA Denso Spark Plugs 4-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This was the second race of the 2021 NHRA Camping World drag racing season and it was a ringing success, especially for winners like Ryan Oehler, Bob Tasca III, Steve Torrence, and Erica Enders. The crowd was limited by state and local regulations but the fans on the grounds got a great show, got to see their favorite drivers in the pits, and got to soak in a lot of that Nevada sunshine.
