Painted white, this could have very well been the Ford truck that my dad drove when I was a wee tot. It’s one of precious few vehicles that I can see clearly that pre-dates my kindergarten days: white Ranger, standard trans, that saddle blanket-style seat cover that pretty much every last pickup truck that lived in the 1970s and 1980s seemed to have…it could be this truck. But I doubt it. Dad loved his trucks as work vehicles first and foremost. The idea of a stomping big-block wouldn’t stop him, but lowered and set up for drag racing, this Ford would have him twitching one eye with a disappointed look. But we can’t be mad at this beast…for starters, it’s a big Ford under the hood, not a swapped-in late-model piece or (the horror) an LS swap. The tow mirrors aren’t helping matters in the quarter-mile but who cares when you have all that torque?
There’s always something cool about an old Ford that can hook and book, isn’t there?
LOVE IT!!!!!!!! It’s features like this that make Bangshift.com one of my favorite stops on the web……

Bumpside? Maybe when he bumps into the side of his opponent.
