We take no pleasure in relaying news like this from a drag strip. Three people were killed in a shooting at Great Lakes Dragaway on Sunday. The historic track in Union Grove, Wisconsin was hosting an event called “Larry’s Fun Fest” in front of a packed house when an (as yet) unknown person shot three people by the concession stands. Two of the victims died at the track and the third died in the ambulance on the way to a medical facility. Police are actively searching for people matching a loose description that was garnered from people at the scene. There’s no indication as to what caused this and law enforcement is working with the families of the victims to determine possible suspects for this vicious crime.
Larry’s Fun Fest has not been without incident as the police mentioned that there had been issues surrounding this event in the past but nothing that has ever risen to the level of fatal violence.
Quoting the TMJ4.com story, Police Sheriff David Beth said, “That the shootings were believe to be the result of rival gangs from Milwaukee and Chicago coming to a head, and that they have caused problems at the Union Grove facility in the past. We’re not aware of any danger to the community. We believe that whoever did this is either still on here on site, or more likely left the Great Lakes Drag Strip,” Beth said

The media once again spins this as a fault of the drag strip & the people who would attend these events are problematic. They should give every gang member a gun & face them against one another & have at it. Gang member and get caught committing a violent crime? Don’t go to jail, get 10 years serving in the army on foreign soil in a special expendable gang unit.
Man, I hate this kinda thing! I have been bringing my size year old daughter to Great Lakes DW since she was 3 now I have to wonder if this will stop families from attending. It\’s hard.
So why are Americans so against gun control? Wouldn’t it be good if you could have guns but those other idiots could not? You know mental check up or something
