BangShift Approved: Watch This Twin Motor, Scratch Built Hot Rod Rip Down The Strip

BangShift Approved: Watch This Twin Motor, Scratch Built Hot Rod Rip Down The Strip

There’s a big difference between building something freaky looking and building something freak looking that actually works. This video shows a scratch built hot rod with a pair of pump gas 429ci Ford big blocks ripping down the quarter mile and guess what? This is something freaky looking that actually works! The guy is lifting at about 1,000ft and it is still running in the very low 10s. Under power, it wold be a nine second car all day but we’re guessing that he does not have nor want a chassis tag on this thing so he’s keeping it legit in the 10s to keep his life from getting too complicated.

It does not look like the dude has a ton of money in this thing and we’re not saying that to be disrespectful. Just the opposite, actually. Talk about fun on a budget?! This dude is having tons of it and when you get to the end of the video, make sure you can keep your jaw off the floor when you see how the car and its companion ride get to and from the race track. To say that it is a plot twist we did not see coming would be an understatement for sure!

Some of you out there will knock this for “only” running low 10s with a pair of engines. That’s fine and your opinion is your own of course but we think it is cool and we commend the dude who built the sucker because he’s having a blast!

Wow, yes, the tow rig is even wilder! Impressive that it runs that quick since it must be kind of heavy. Looks like a pretty good working hot rod.
