When Meziere announced the availability of an all new billet aluminum transmission pan, with built in cooling, for GM Powerglide applications it was a natural fit for guys running fast paced big money bracket racing events where getting temps down in later rounds can be a challenge. With Meziere’s system the engines coolant helps cool the transmission while cruising back down the return road and into the pits. This gives a considerable head start on cooling the transmission and negates the need for a separate, and expensive, external transmission cooling station. The problem? All the TH400 guys wanted one too!
And now here they are. Meziere is making these awesome units available for both Powerglide and TH400 based transmissions and that means guys running two speed 400s in Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, and more can now get the same effective cooling.
We dig these units and can tell you that they look like jewelry. I mean this is some of the finest machine work every to grace the bottom of a race car. In fact, these look so good you are going to wonder what it would take to mount the transmission upside down just so you can take a look at it. After all, this thing starts out being more than 80 lbs of billet aluminum before the machining process starts.

Escondido, California – We are expanding our line of innovative transmission cooling products by introducing the new pan for GM Turbo 400 transmissions. This all-billet, elegant design looks like jewelry and works like a champ, pulling heat out of the transmission fluid by running coolant through a passage in the base of the pan. The heat exchanging feature has proven to be a significant advantage over standard pans, giving you a weapon to battle transmission fluid heat while the engine is off and the fluid is not circulating. All units are checked 100% for proper function. An o-ring in the flange ensures excellent sealing. Stainless mounting hardware and a magnetic drain plug come standard.
