Boost baby, it’s a wonderful thing. And it makes ridiculous power in the right hands, which in this case are the hands of the talented team at Scoggin-Dickey who have put together a stock crank and stock block LT combo that makes 2,000 horsepower with twin turbos. It’s based on the LT8 truck block, which is 6.6 Liters and features a super stout cast iron block with siamese bores that measure 4.065. When combined with the factory 3.86 inch stroke it ends up being 400 cubic inches. These blocks are said to be heavier than an LSX block, which might not be great on the one hand but it certainly a sign that it is strong and capable of withstanding power.
Scoggin-Dickey worked hard to make sure they could support this power level by using smart parts and pieces where they make sense and making the most out of stout factory components when that makes sense.
It’s got rods from Callies, pistons from Wiseco, Holley EFI components and a camshaft from Comp Cams. It’s not super trick but it is certainly stout, and it sure does make the power!
Video Description:
Nothing screams horsepower like a pair of twin turbos! And when they’re paired with a 6.6L LT engine that’s been worked over by Scoggin Dickey, you’ve got a recipe for an easy 2000+HP.
Why? Seriously why? “I’m going to sell you a 2000 HP motor that is on the ragged edge of grenading how many do you want?” “Don’t worry it’s all stock block and crank so WHEN it grenades you can get replacement stuff easy” BS (and not BangShift) at every level. Will the LS crap never end? Chevy’s new vette is getting a flat plane crank and DOHC heads years later than Ford has had production DOHC motors that will make triple digit HP. I’ll take your 2000 HP nova/chevelle/camaro on the street every time with my lowly GT500… all hail GM ….or not
Awww, it looks like someone has had their ass kicked by Chevy’s a few times.
Sour grapes.
