(Photos by Joe Grippo) – For the fourth year in a row the Northeast Rod and Custom car show happened outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and like years past, the convention center was jam packed with bitchin’ cars from all out show queens to hard core drag car iron. Joe Grippo was our man on the scene and he filed hundreds and hundreds of photos from the event, which we are going to spoon out to you over the next couple of days. We’re not grouping them in any particular manner, so you’ll be seeing them like Joe did while wandering around the show.
As hokey as it seems, we love the guys who put the cotton around their rear tires to simulate a burnout. We’re being honest with that. To us it looks old school and it is one of those “indoor car show things” that we kind of look for at every one we go to. You may or may not dig it but when applied to an old hot rod or something it reminds of of what we may have seen at an old school show at a local armory or something of that nature. Fun stuff.
