Awesome Old Mopar! This 1974 Duster Drag Car Has Been Sitting For Decades And Is Near Mint!

We were super stoked when we say this awesome 1974 Duster Drag Car, but even more stoked when we read the listing! It ran high 9’s back in the day, has been stored for 19 years, but stored right by taking care of the engine and backing off all the rockers etc. The 440 was built by Bob Lambeck which means good things, and it made 633 horsepower and 595 lb ft of torque when built. All the parts listed are top notch, including the Dana 60 with Mark Williams parts inside, and JFZ brakes, a built Torque Flight, and much more from companies like MSD, Dedenbear, Autometer, ATI and Jesel. It’s light, as many body parts are glass, and the car was clearly built right. At less than $15,000 we think this is a pretty good deal that could be racing again with just a weekend or two of work.

Our favorite thing is the cool retro paint, which was THE POOP back when it was painted, and we think it still looks rad today.

Here is what the seller has to say:

1974 Plymouth Duster- Retro
Back in the day, this car was running high 9’s Low 10’s in the quarter mile with no nitrous. Best time at Bakersfield was 9.911 @ 132.64. The Duster has been in long term storage for approx 19 years now. The car has a 440 built by Bob Lambeck, 633.4HP, 595ft. lb. Torque. roller motor with a deep list of parts. Torque flight is a Griner transmission with manual reverse shift body. Stock front end with disc brakes, Dana rear end has 456 gears with Mark Williams spool, axles, drive shaft, yoke with JFZ brakes. The hood, bumpers, front fenders, doors and trunk lid are fiberglass. All windows are lexan except for the rear side windows. Back half with ladder bars. The Duster went straight with equal lift in front no twist and a good stop.

This a rust free body with minor nicks and chips and a few scratches in the paint.

Back in the day all the best parts were used. Barry Grant Dominator, fuel pump filter & regulator. MSD, Dedenbear delay & throttle stop, Sun, Auto Meter, MSD distributor, coil, 2 stage module, ACD air shifter, ATI, Ron Davis, Jesel- on and on

Motor turns over, rocker arms were relieved of tension- needs timing, valve adjustment, tires needs replacing and brakes need to be bead. Many spare parts.
