For Sale: This Pro Street Vegas Is A Pretty Cool Ride That Is Faster Than The Pro Street Name Might Imply

BANGshifter Rocco Bastone sends us some cool stuff via the Submit Content button that is on every BANGshift.com page, and a lot of times they are cool rides on sale. I dig a Vegas, and anything Pro Street is good, so this Vega here is pretty darn fine. Sure, it has a few things I’d be doing to it to make it my own, but it’s a good start that actually runs hard and that would look great at any car show, cruise night, or street race. This one has a built small-block, manual valve body trans, big Dana 60, and more. It’s been down the track and there are numbers to prove it.

For me it needs door panels to get rid of the speakers and needs to be lowered a few inches. I can make everything else work. How about you?

Seller’s Description:

For sale is a 1971 Chevrolet Vega GT. Built 406 V8 Dart block with an R4 Transmission with manual valve bodies, a Dana 60 rear end, and extra meaty 325/50R15 Mickey Thompson E.T Street R tires. Ran high 6’s in the 1/8th mile at Shady Side. Not for the feint of heart, extremely fast, but still predictable even though its a short wheelbase.
No Trades. This car was built locally by Scott Kelly at A&K Rebuilders.

Great car… Just FYI Bill Greenwood, Hurst Lightning Rod Shifter is NOT Period correct for a 72 Vega. That’s an 80’s thing.
