This Sleeper 5.3 Turbo LS Powered 1980 Malibu Is Our Jam

This Sleeper 5.3 Turbo LS Powered 1980 Malibu Is Our Jam

When we saw this sucker on our daily Malibu Craigslist search, it caught our attention right away. Maybe it is the perfect stance on rally wheels. Or maybe it’s the interesting color combo. Or maybe, just maybe, it’s the intake tube that is running through a slot in the hood. Oh yeah, that’s it. This cool sleeperish hot rod features a 5.3 with an 80mm turbo running on E85 through a built Holley carb. Backing it up is a built TH350 with a trans brake, and the parts it’s got sound like all the good stuff you want. It doesn’t say what the rear axle is in the thing, so we have no way to know whether it will live with the right pedal to the floor, but quite frankly we don’t care. It looks like it would be a riot to own and drive and we only wish we had the money to buy it. Somebody out there in BangShift land should, and then put a build Mark Williams 9″ under the back. We have a feeling this car will either be a ton of fun, or will be the one that gets you into trouble. Either way, we’re good with it! This is one cool sort of sleeper 5.3 turbo Malibu.

I don’t know if I’d call it a sleeper (Paint is too nice, hole in the hood, stance is too mean) but it’s definitely a nice car. Remember when you couldn’t give those Malibus away? Now you can’t touch the,/
