30lbs of boost is real boost. 60 is nuts. I know guys with Mod Motor Fords that see mid 60’s on a fairly regular basis and that’s pretty nuts. But 112 psi through a Mitsubishi 4G63 is pretty crazy. Well it would be, if it weren’t for the fact that these Australians from Jett Racing are the ones doing it. Since Aussies do everything at another level of crazy, I guess that would be the same as 60 lbs in something one of us Yanks put together. This thing runs low 6’s at 220 plus and it’s nothing mellow and straight.

But while the Eclipse is cool and hauls ass, it is the little ute that we really really love even more. It runs 7.0 here in this video and looks like an absolute riot. Check them both out below. This is hauling ass.

A couple of years ago I went to Import vs Domestics at Budds Creek in MD and as astonished at how quick and violent some of these small motor cars are. No doubt to my American ear, a V8 “sounds” better, but there were plenty of big inch motors sounding good and losing that day. As I recall there were rotary engine cars in the 6’s.

Fast is fast no matter how you get there. The team in this video, Jett Racing, have their program sorted out. Light weight, BIG boost, and bullet proof parts. Good for them.

Yes they’re all about efficiency :light weight , high boost , good aero , well not this truck but the civics and Supras and most imports are . And most high boost big v8 are overpowered and limited on traction and aero . But I would’nt put a penny on a 4cyl as a don’t like the sound .
