Customizing A Low Buck Harbor Freight Hydraulic Press: Mods That Make It More Useful, Stronger, And Cooler Looking.

Customizing A Low Buck Harbor Freight Hydraulic Press: Mods That Make It More Useful, Stronger, And Cooler Looking.

We’re big on shop made tools around here, as any regular viewers know, but we’re also all about modifying tools to make them better than they were when you bought them. Thanks to companies like Swag Off-Road, Rogue Fab, and others, there have never been more shop made tool kits that allow you to modify your current tools or make new ones from scratch. So when we saw our friends at Willomet Motor and Fab were spending some time working on their hydraulic press, I just had to watch.

This video is going to take a readily available Harbor Freight hydraulic press and make it into something special. I have to say, this is a great video, with great timing, because I was thinking about replacing my old small press that is sitting in the shop looking sad. Now I think I’ll just customize the thing so it looks and works better for what I need in the shop.

How about you?

Video Description:

To improve the strength of my Harbor Freight 20 ton press, I had @sendcutsend laser and dimple some boxing plates, built up a @Swagoffroad heavy duty finger press brake kit, and tarted it all up with some super nice paint from @seymourpaint_official. It’s a huge upgrade, and looks pretty sharp, too.
