None of us gets out of this life alive, but we sure hope to leave it better than when we got here. That’s not the case for everyone, but I hope it is for the majority. A special few make an obvious difference in the lives of those around them, and by doing so end up positively impacting generations they never touched directly. I never met Ronald Newbern, Dave’s dad, but knowing him and his boys makes me know that his dad was something special. Besides turning him into a hot rodder, which is cool enough, he also helped shape him into a really good human being and that’s really what matters. Unfortunately, Ron recently passed away, but I’m sure he would have been thrilled with the send off that Dave, his family, and his friends put together.

In the video below you’ll see prep work going on to get everything to the funeral, and also to finish up the Impala build which held a special place in both Ron and Dave’s hearts.

On this episode we continue to upgrade my first car, my 1964 Impala. My Dad bought me this car when I was 13 years old. Unfortunately, he got sick and passed away as I was doing more upgrades. So my friends came together and we got it put back together in time to drive it to his memorial. I partnered with ‪@speedwaymotors‬ on this build and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. RIP pops, we sure miss you.
