No Party Like a Parachute Party! – Roadkill Nights 2019 Woodward Pre-Party

Alex Taylor is one lucky girl. She works hard to be this lucky, but she’s lucky nonetheless. With a father who can literally build a car from the ground up with no outside help, and the passion for hot rods and race cars running deep, it is no wonder that this girl has worked to become one of the more talented and well rounded street car racers in the country. We happen to spend a fair amount of time each year traveling cross country with Alex and her family on events like Rocky Mountain Race Week and I can tell you that this chick thrashes on her own car, tunes her own car, and drives her own car just fine. In this episode of Driving with Alex, it’s time for Roadkill Nights on Woodward Ave in Michigan. This is a must attend event if you haven’t done so yet.

Here is the info from Alex. “We went last year. But each year gets bigger and better! As you saw in our last video, we were headed to Detroit, MI for Roadkill Nights. I LOVE this event because it’s always so laid back with something cool always going on and lots of great people to hang out with. This year, Tom moved the pre-party to the M1 Concourse (for those that don’t know what this is, look it up! You won’t be sorry) and that party was wayyyy bigger than last year and ended up raising over $20,000 for the Michigan Epilepsy Foundation. In this video, we go testing at Lapeer and then spend the day at the Pre-Party where Badmaro ended up in a dyno competition that night! 😉 This THURSDAY, I will be releasing the last part of Roadkill Nights where we are actually racing on Woodward. Stay Tuned!”

It’s no secret that the NHRA is struggling to bring in new fans. Alex could bring in so many new fans to the NHRA ii isn’t funny. To say she is marketable would be a major Captain Obvious statement. She is such a cute young lady in every way, is obviously a talented racer AND is willing to get fish and dirty working on her Ian race car. A professional team needs to snatch her up now and start grooming her to become the next star if the NHRA. Can you imagine approaching corporate America for sponsorship with Alex as your driver? Where do I sign?! Can you imaging how many young guys (and girls) she might be able to lure away from their smart phones and tablets and out to the track?

You have come a long way since DW’13. Had I known the Dyno competition was paying money I would have held those cookies for ransom. At least your dad got some of the crumbs. LOL Roadkill Nights was a blast- Don M.

Like Chad, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Alex and her family during RMRW events. She has many talents that include building, racing, tuning, and maintaining her Camaro. I have seen her handle her 8 second car on an unruly track and she can drive too. And, she is a really nice young lady to boot. Tells you a lot about her parents, and family as well. I wish all the luck in her future.
