Am I the only one who thinks it sounds weird to talk about a Fox Body being a barn find? I mean, when I think barn find I think old cars and I just don’t think of a Fox Body as being old yet even though this one was built in 1979. I know that’s not the case for anyone that is under the age of 40 or so, because they are from the 1970’s through 1990’s, but still! When I think barn find, I think of cars that are older than the 1970s. How about you? Does a Fox Body Mustang seem like an old car to you? Let us know in the comments below. We really do want to hear from you.
We also want you to check out the video below to see just how hard Derek has to work to get this Mustang home. After sitting for 23 years, you never know what kind of shape it is going to be in. This car could start right up with some fuel and a battery, or it could have a lot of little things that need some love. Sitting is hard on a car because things aren’t moving, aren’t staying lubed up, and will often dry out and cause all kinds of issues with leaks and electronics. Let’s see how this one here has been preserved, and see if it is going to be a headache or not.
Video Description:
This 1979 Ford Mustang has been parked off the road for 23 years. It is currently parked in a hoop barn. I purchased the car sight unseen and plan to get it running and attempt to drive it hundreds of miles home.
