Kyle from 1320Video has been around ultra fast street and race cars for 20 years now, since the inception of 1320Video in 2000. But he’s only been behind the wheel of these cool cars in the past couple of years. We’re glad that he finally jumped over to the other side of the camera for some fun, and that he has done it in his own cool cars that he loves. They are all white, and most of them are Chevrolets. But this latest one, his 2017 Audi R8 is 10 cylinders of twin turbo fury that looks stock but isn’t by a long shot. It makes more than 1,200 horsepower to the tires thanks to the guys at AMS Performance, and yet it drives like a rental car when you want to as well. This is some impressive stuff right here and we dig it.
No, this isn’t my normal kind of car, but anything with this much sauce that is capable of running 200 mph in the half mile with this kind of dependability makes for a huge smile factor which you can clearly see on Kyle’s face. I’ve known Kyle for almost 16 years, and his laugh is infectious as is his excitement. The genuine pleasure he gets from this car makes me smile and makes me love that he is hauling ass in it.
I do want to be his windshield guy though.
Watch.
Here is his video description:
After diagnosing and fixing a spark plug issue, we’ve got the R8 back to full power just in time for the Kansas Airstrip Attack! The goal for the weekend was 200mph in the 1/2 mile, which turns out to be lot easier than expected! AMS Performance sure put together one heck of a twin turbo kit for this car. Who knew we’d go to the finals in our first race, then hit 200mph in the 1/2 mile at the next one?!
no roll-bar. 3 point seat belts(not 5) not cool—200MPH,take your friends for 190mph ride COOL
