Bead rolling is something I have only done a couple of times in my life, and never for more than a couple ribs to strengthen a floppy panel. If I owned a bead roller, that might be different, but since I don’t I’ll have to wait to get some practice in so I can be a bad ass like Jamey Jordan. Jamey is the talent behind the Handmade Seat Company, and if you aren’t familiar with him then you should look him up. He’s something of a bad ass. He and Finnegan have been friends for a while and so Finnegan called him in to help train him on making things look better after he and Newbern put a new Holley Dash in the C10 and thought the panel looked, well, boring. Okay, boring is the nice way to put it. but at least Mike was smart enough to know he needed to do something about it. So he went out and bought himself a bad ass bead roller from Mittler Brothers. In fact, it is the Jamey Jordan edition, so you can see why it is so fitting to have called him in to help on the project.
Now I have to be honest, this video is not going to instruct you on how to be a bad ass sheet metal guy. But it is going to get your rolling quicker and more successfully that you would have been able to before, and it should show you how things should look and how bad ass they can be with just this one tool. For me, this one is inspiration and just further proof that this is just another tool I need to add to my workshop.
Watch, and enjoy.
