Barge Party: This Is A 1990 Lincoln Town Car That Rips The Strip!

Barge Party: This Is A 1990 Lincoln Town Car That Rips The Strip!

The Lincoln Town Car is not a performance car. It just isn’t. It’s a big thing, thanks to it’s Panther-platform roots. It’s a stout thing, since the Crown Victoria gained favor with cop departments. Handsome is in the eye of the beholder, and whether or not you’re into the super-plush, early-bird special kind of luxury that these cars offer is on you. But they are simply not a performance car. I don’t care if it’s a 302 car or a 4.6L car, the power that Town Cars came with from the factory simply can be described as “adequate”. You aren’t supposed to hard-launch this car. You are supposed to move out gracefully but with a bit of authority, nothing more.

If you agree with that, you might want to actually respond to the AARP junk mail that shows up in your mailbox, because from where we sit the Town Car is a solid base for a funky-ass build. Full frame, solid rear axle, and many Panther platform freaks know how to not only make them dance, but can even manual-trans swap them. Blowers, nitrous, turbochargers…it’s all good! This guy’s 1990 Town Car is stripped and prepped for dragstrip hijinks and we dig it fully. Check this barge out!
