The Beater Bomb ButtHurt bar is something special, and it’s cool how it works, but what is funny is that my experience with one came way before he started designing his. In fact, the ones that I’m familiar with were used in the Fast and Furious movies to make cars do wheelstands on the streets. And to say that they made these cars “hook on a gravel road” is true as well! Freiburger’s F-Bomb Camaro was the hero car in Fast and Furious which came out in 2009 but was filmed in 2008. We were on set for some filming of the show and can tell you that we did in fact go out testing for the gravel road wheelstand scene and it pulled the front wheels in the air no problem. Movie guys have been using tricks like this for a long time, but Joey was smart to create his own version for the Beater Bomb and in the video below he’ll explain how he does it.

In this video, I share the wild story of how I revolutionized small tire racing with a crazy idea that no one saw coming – the ButtHurt Bar. It all started with a simple conversation in November 2020, where I pitched the idea to Brad and Shawn. Although they were skeptical, I was determined to make it happen. From designing the bar on my phone to installing it on the car, this modification turned heads and became a game-changer.
In my first race with the ButtHurt Bar, I was banned from all future cash days in all 50 states, but it didn’t stop me. The ButtHurt Bar proved to be a dominant force on the track, enabling me to control power and win races, even in challenging conditions. This bar helped me achieve some of my biggest wins and even took me to the top in Texas at one of the biggest cash days.
Watch as I take you through the journey of how this controversial modification impacted my racing career, defied the critics, and helped me come out on top. The ButtHurt Bar isn’t just a gimmick – it’s a powerful tool that changed the game in small tire racing.
