Tommy Johnson Jr, by winning in St Louis put himself right back in the championship fight with teammates Jack Beckman and Matt Hagan. Had they not won that race they’d likely have been on the outs and watching the true race for the title from further back in the pack. Now TJ sits less than two rounds out with three races to go. The pressure is high but he seems uniquely equipped to get the job done.
Cameron Ferre is a guy who is working harder than almost anyone else to race in top fuel. Hustling sponsorship dollars and applying them to the side of the top fuel car owned by Terry Haddock, Ferre is making progress in his goal to be a top tier dragster pilot. The racer who understands that this is a step in a career that will have many is appreciative about the opportunity he has with Terry Haddock and he is realistic about the future of the sport. A great chat.
