Ahhhh, the internet. Yes, it can be used to sew the seeds of badness on a daily basis in ways that humanity has not even considered yet BUT it is also the kind of place where the impossible becomes possible with frequency as well. Take this for example. We fond an eBay listing for a complete Latham Axial Flow supercharger setup and when we say complete, we mean soup to nuts. The intake manifold, the blower, pulleys, distributor, throttle linkage, and the carbs that were designed to be used on it. We have found the blowers before and we have seen other parts but we have never actually seen the whole kit as it would have been delivered in the 1960s. We’re kind of stunned, actually.

Superchargers in today’s world are not cheap. They are highly effective and make horsepower but they are not giving the things away. This was perhaps even more true of these Latham blowers during the 1960s. They were basically handmade back then, sold in small volume, and they were big dollars. Unlike traditional blowers that use rotors or screws to compress air, this thing is like a little belt driven turbine.

We’re guessing that one would want to pull the supercharger apart and make sure its innards were ok before you bolted it onto the car. As you can tell by the size of the pulley, this thing spun at fantastic RPM so making sure none of the little blades are cracked or ready to break off would be a good idea.

This was not only a highly functional package, it was good looking as well. Note that the intake manifold is chrome or polished and the supercharger itself is also turned out to a high degree. Yeah, you are going to lay out some $13,000 for this package but if you have the dough and have always wanted one of these in 100% complete condition now is your chance. We have literally never SEEN the distributor or linkage with one of these before. Awesome.
