When it comes to sniffing out the good stuff for sale on the internet, our man Rocco is unparalleled in his skill level. It’s always interesting and in the case of cars like this 1974 Chevelle Malibu it’s always cool. You are looking at a highly optioned factory big block car that has been restored and mildly modified in the best of ways. The M21 4-speed is still there, the swivel buckets, the factory body lines have not been messed with. The factory 454 has been awoken with a camshaft, intake manifold, and headers. It’s not a stretch to think that this thing is making killer torque and with a 3.42 rear end, it is probably really fun killing the raised white letter tires with that rat motor torque.
The asking price on the car is $17,000 and when you see the detail photos that show how the car has been completely restored top and bottom you can see the quality level. For some that may be too much but for someone looking to buy a clean, nice, big block, four speed car that is not the same as every other Camaro and 1968 Chevelle on the road, this one likely sings a strong tune. It sure does for us!
I’d source a set of Douglas Grab N Go Sixty tires, a set of Gabriel Hi-Jackers air shocks and a white Hurst pool ball shift knob and call it a day. I wonder if I still have my Lynyrd Skynyrd 8 tracks?
