Dart Machinery Block Prep Service Means That When Your Block Is Delivered, It’s Ready To Build

People have different needs when they buy stuff like engine blocks. If you are a builder maybe you want it as raw as possible to put all the tweaks and tricks you know into it. If you are a home builder maybe you want the block to be “turn key” so you can get to assembling your new bullet for the hot rod that’s been begging to be driven. Dart Machinery understands this and that’s why they offer a killer block prep service for people who want their engine block to arrive ready to be built.

Under normal circumstances when your block arrives, it needs to normal prep that every block does. Cleaning, de-burring, a finish hone on the cylinders to match your piston and ring package, cam bearings installed, etc. If you have a good hook up at the machine shop to get this stuff done, you can go that route but if you’d rather not spend more time waiting or if you do not want to take that extra trip to the machinist, the prep service will deliver you a block that is ready to be built right out of the box.

The expertise and equipment that Dart has means that this work will be done to a high level, the hone will be perfect and done on cutting edge machines, and at the end of the day you’ll be back on the street or the strip quicker without having the hassle of adding another step to your engine build and lugging your block across town.

How are they going to know how far in the hole the piston is? Too many times I’ve seen that high dollar measuring tool used and low and behold when the crank is installed and you check four corners with with a rod and piston it’s drunk. Do it yourself then deck the block. Also to many times those ready to bolt on heads really aren’t ready to bolt on. Good luck.
