Drag Kart?! This Twin Turbo 5.3L LS Engine Has Nitrous As Well – Only A Tube Chassis And Four Seats

This video has a few elements that make it absolutely awesome. First is the obvious, the machine at the center of it. We’re calling it the Drag Kart and you’ll see why when you watch this. A tube chassis kart that has the roof and windshield from what looks like a Dodge Charger, there’s a tube chassis, four seats, and a pair of big drag slicks in the back. Up front there is a 5.3L LS engine that has a pair of turbos on it and nitrous coming to the party as well. We have no idea what it weighs but it cannot be much and even a “mild” twin turbo, nitrous injected LS mill has to be making some serious power.

The next thing that is awesome about this video is the place where it was shot. The track is called Street Racin’ Haven and it is located down in Mississippi. As you can imagine the place is a hometown drag strip and isn’t overly complicated with all kinds of frills. Instead they are there to keep people off the streets and to give drag racers a place to get after it. Adding to the fun surrounding the track, the event that this video was made at has the car launching from the top end of the race track and heading toward the starting line! It is no prep taken to the extreme and this buggy is certainly not the first to try the track judging by how much rubber has been laid down already.

We dig the bug sprayer juicing the rear tires with traction compound before the guy does a burnout and frankly this thing seems like it would be awesome to drive…when there’s some traction. We completely found this video by mistake but now we want to visit the race track and see this Drag Kart up close!
