Judging by the angle of the car in the lead photo above, this isn’t going to end well  for him. To be brutally honest, half of the cars in this video had a decent run while the other half get bent, burned, and broken. The Aussie drag racing season is winding down for 2014 as they are heading into Fall down there now, even through we’re just pulling out of the chutes with racing season here in the states. There’s that whole Southern Hemisphere thing about the water going backwards and their calendar being flipped which you have to consider. Anyway, geography and fluid dynamics lessons aside, the ANDRA is the biggest drag racing sanction in Australia and their races bring the big guns from top fuel to pro stock, top door slammer, and more. In this video you’ll see top fuel cars exploding, top doorslammer cars smashing, and at least one top sportsman style Ford eat both walls HARD.

This video may only be about 40-seconds long but it is non-stop action and by action we mean flames and wreckage. We’re not sure if the weather made the track tricky, if late season points battles made drivers push their cars and themselves too hard, or if it was just “one of those weekends” where the walls seem like they have their own gravitational pull. We’ve been there and suffered through that last scenario from the announcing booth before.
