There’s the level of the competition, the challenge of getting down the track, and the feeling of camaraderie among the competitors. Outside of that stuff there is one thing that really draws them out. Money. When the $15,000 purse was announced for this Extreme Outlaw Pro Mod Big Dog Shootout was announced we knew it was going to attract the larger names in the eight mile pro mod game like a bug light and boy did it.
Hero cars from different series were in attendance along with all of the EOPM regulars you have come to expect. Why? Money! These things are not cheap to run but they are not as expensive as fuel cars either so when there is $15,000 up for grabs, that is real cash that a team can totally profit on. Being that many of the racers are also business owners, these guys know the value of a buck and everyone that rolled in the gate had a shot to claim the big prize.
This shark tank of door slammers sure was fun to watch and it has been fun to show off Benoit Pigeon’s photos of them. Here’s the last blast.
