Yeah…you got back to school that fall and the first thing you did was to recount that hellish trip with everyone whose summer had to have been ten times cooler than yours. Oh, you stopped and bought fudge from Uranus and saw the world’s largest ball of twine? Neat. With your luck, you’d be classmates with one of the kids who rode along with their father in his race car across the country.

We’ve seen this LS-swapped Mitsubishi 3000GT before, at LS Fest East. It’s a 5.3L with a Powerglide and it’s a pretty stout performer. It’s also rear-wheel-drive, to shave some weight out of the car and it’s now a veteran of Rocky Mountain Race Week, having taken care of this year’s route. Cool car, slick setup, and bringing your kids on the ultimate “What did you do on your summer vacation?” story? Yeah, that’s a parenting win if we’ve ever seen it.
