Hardcore drag racing fans know the place as Brainerd Optimist Dragway and the Optimist Club is still an integral part of the strip’s operation and support system. Drag Strips are not just things that are built and exist forever. They require care and support like a child to keep growing and thriving. This place has had it over the years and Tommy’s video is so very well detailed and honors those who have kept the lights on, raced at the track, and talks alot about the culture and categories that have defined Brainerd’s past and how they are looking to the future.
