Nope, no one flew. I mean, the cars flew in the figurative sense at Lights Out 9 but not in the literal sense as they have in years past. That being said, it isn’t to discount the fact that wild stuff was happening on the eighth mile at all times when the cars were running. No matter the class, no matter the horsepower level, no matter the driver, people are bound to get in a little trouble now and again when thousands of horsepower is being applied through such little rubber.

Very happy to report that none of the wrecks you see here resulted in someone being injured. Soreness? Yeah there was plenty of that but none of the wrecks involved someone being taken out of the track in an ambulance. That’s the great thing about the safety technology in these cars and the quality of the builders that put them together. There’s literally never been a better time to be in this sport from that perspective.

Oh, and you have to watch until the end. The biggest and bloodiest wreck of Lights Out 9 No Escape did not happen on the track, it actually happened off of it. Everyone at the track watched this video about 53,000,000 times and it has now escaped just the confines of the track and it is hitting the internet hard. Don’t drink and sprint, kids!
