We Found As Freaky A Small Block Intake System As We Have Ever Seen On E-Bay – Check This Out

It isn’t often that we get to call something involving a small block Chevy engine freaky or weird but this is as freaky a small block intake system as we have ever seen. There are four Dellorto side-draft carbs bolted to some adapter blocks on top of a cast tunnel ram base. On top of the obvious there’s some amazing plumbing and linkage that goes into making this whole situation work.

The asking price for the “needs to be rebuilt” setup is $2,999. If we had a 1980s pro street build coming together we’d buy this thing, blow it apart to the throttle blades, and then plug it on top of a rowdy small block. The person who bought this thing when it was new was not your average hot rodder. This thing had to have been on a show car of some sort or maybe even a race car. The four “fly eye” style air filter units scream “show car” to us but there was a time when that was about the hottest induction setup anyone had under the hood.

Check out the photos below and then hit the link to see the ad. More importantly, think about what you would install this wacky speed part on. Do you have any ideas? We do.

Look at the older Chevrolet power high performance Manuel\’s from the dealerships! Some of the most effective setups were the webber carburetors 4 of them with velocity stacks of unequal length.
The Hilborn direct port fuel injection was unbeatable! But the Webber carb setup was the next best thing.

I wonder if this is just a normal tunnel ram and Lyle is the company that made the adapters to run those carbs.

I’m thinking that would be uber cool on a 70’s theme 57 Bel Air. Go with the super stock look, a Nash 5 spd, Dana, slapper bars, Motor Wheel Fly’s, and a 400+ inch small block under the hood. Go with the gold or blue Moroso valve covers, chrome headers, a modest solid roller, and this intake.

Wieand tunnel ram Lyle made the adapters . Saw those on a couple can am test cars many years ago.
