(Photos by Joe Grippo) – One of the reasons that people love races like the Yellow Bullet Nationals is because the car actually look like cars. It sounds almost dumb to say, but in a world where even pro mods have largely morphed into cartoonish versions of classic muscle cars or late model bodies, the overwhelming majority of guys running on “small” tires have iron that looks pretty close to the way it did in stock form. Classic muscle cars like the Nova below look the way they should, make insane power, haul bucket loads of ass, and people relate to them. Do they look bone stock? No, they look all muscled up and awesome, they way people love ’em.
This gallery of photos from Joe Grippo concentrates on pit shots with some action rolled in. This collection of photos will give you an awesome perspective on the variety of cars that were at the event. From late model swoopy Corvettes to classic brawny muscle cars like Super Bees, Camaros, and Chevelles, this collection of small tire warriors had a little something for everyone.
